وتأنَسُ النّفسُ في نفْسٍ تُوافِقُها *** بالفكرِ والطّبعِ والغاياتِ .. والقيمِ
والرُّوحُ لِلرُّوحِ تَدري مَن يُناغمُهَا *** كَالطَّيرِ للطير … فِي الإنشَادِ مَيَّالُ
لا تَألفُ الرُّوحُ إلَّا مَن يُلَاطِفُهَا *** ويَهْجُرُ القَلبُ مَنْ يَقسُو وَيجْفَاهُ
عاشِر من الناسِ من تهوى طبيعتَهُ *** وما عليكَ ملامٌ … حين تندفع
الحر للحرِ ميالٌ برغبتِهِ *** والنذل بالنذلِ … مفتونٌ و مقتنع
والناسُ للناسِ والآفاقُ شاسعةٌ *** والطير قالوا على أشكالِها … تقع
Translation from Arabic:
- A soul finds solace in another soul that matches it, In thought, nature, goals, and values
- A spirit knows which spirit harmonizes with it, Like a bird to another bird in singing inclined
- A spirit bonds only with those who are gentle with it, And the heart abandons those who are harsh and cold
- Keep company with people whose nature you love, And you are not to be blamed when you follow your impulse
- The free person is naturally drawn to the free, And the base person is fascinated and satisfied with the base
- People are drawn to people, and the horizons are vast, As they say, birds of a feather flock together
