Main Building
The Islamic Center in Stillwater (ICS) main building is the bounding heart of the ICS. It includes the main prayer hall (which can afford 300 people), the washing (Wudu) facility, and the main social gathering area. It enjoys a wide entrance and access to the multipurpose hall. The secretary and security office are located in the main building.
The social gathering area is fully equipped and prepared to host many people who enjoy the area.
We ask those who use the gathering area always to practice Islamic manners, respect others (especially at prayer times, and Khatirah/Bayan times.), and always keep the area clean after they use it.
Multipurpose Hall
The Islamic Center in Stillwater (ICS) has undergone great innovation and updating. With our current facility, we can help and provide better for our community and the greater city of Stillwater.
If weather permits, the large green-grass area around the Islamic society makes a perfect spot for youth and kids to play and have fun. It is provided with a volleyball net, soccer goals, and other sports equipment.
When the weather is not suitable for outdoor activities, our facility includes a one-of-a-kind hall that we use to hold special events and celebrations. Its wide area and equipment make it a perfect place for social gatherings, Ramadan Iftar, graduation celebrations, and other occasions.
The multipurpose hall is also equipped with basketball loops and soccer kids-sized goals. It also serves as the playground for our Sunday School activities.
As usual, we ask our members to follow Islamic manners and keep quiet during their use of this area. We also strongly ask them to keep the area as clean as it is to keep our running costs as low as possible.
Sisters’ Wing
The main building of the Islamic Center in Stillwater (ICS) accommodates the primary area for our sisters within the ICS. Before breaking ground for our new buildings, our sisters were approached to establish their committee to determine how they wanted their space within the ISS to be configured. They opted for a distinct area for themselves and their children, and this preference was duly considered.
Our sister’s designated area has a lounge, a children’s indoor playing ground designated area, and a prayer hall. The sisters’ prayer hall has a soundproof glass wall so they won’t be distracted when they perform their prayers. A designated adult sister is always on watch at prayer times.
Our sisters’ area also enjoys a private washroom (Wudu) place for themselves.
It is important to emphasize that segregation based on gender (or any other criteria) is prohibited, and both men and women enjoy equal rights in Islam and within the ICS.
The Library
The Islamic Center in Stillwater (ICS) has a rich library with books about Islam, Fiqh, and Hadeeth. It is open to members so they can use it to check books out or read them in the lounge.
The library also houses the pool table so it can also be used as a recess place for our members to take a break from study or to grab a book about a subject of interest.
As usual, we ask our members to follow Islamic manners and keep quiet during their use of the library. We also strongly ask them to return the books they check out as some of them are rare and were donated solely for the ICS.
Second Floor
The Islamic Center in Stillwater (ICS) boasts its second-floor facility. It includes a quiet area for study. We have a very large study area that has access to a computer and a printer (accessible 24 hours.) Also, our community members enjoy a beautiful and quiet lounge area where they can talk and socialize. It is fully equipped with access to a small tea/coffee area.
The second floor also offers two conference rooms and it is where the main managerial office is located.
The ISS enjoys its high-speed WiFi service. WiFi ID and password are available.
