For an entire year, the mosque and the prayer hall, once vibrant and bustling every Friday night, have transformed into quiet, silent, and sorrowful spaces. Not a single activity has taken place since I stopped. This is why I decided to relaunch my weekly speeches, known as “Khatirah,” which I previously delivered every Friday after Ishaa prayers as part of the cultural activities at the Islamic Center of Stillwater (ICS). As mentioned, these sessions had to be discontinued for reasons beyond my control.
In this series of lessons, I shall continue presenting the life of The Prophet Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), which I began at the Islamic Center in Stillwater but had to pause (yet again) due to unforeseen circumstances by some of the frequent mosque-goers. It is interesting to see the behavior of some Muslims, yet it helps understand the difficulties faced by many of the scholars or those who try to convey the message.
